The exhibition showcases the multifaceted talents of seventeen San Antonio based Black artists with artworks including drawings, paintings, photography, mixed media, sculpture and quilting. Themes covered include Black history and identity, family dynamics, social connections, spirituality, and resilience. The exhibit will remain installed through November 17, 2023. Culture Commons Gallery is free and open to the public Wed-Fri from 11AM-4PM. Additional upcoming ancillary events include an evening of Drag Performances in celebration of Pride Month, a film night, and a dance performance.
