About David Sirebrenik
Born in Santiago, Chile, David Sirebrenik grew up in Los Angeles spending many Summer & Winter breaks in either Santiago or Barcelona, Spain. Early exposure to Art & Architecture in Barcelona sparked his enduring urge to create.
David is known for sensual organic abstractions & icons often incorporating Collage, Mylar, and Holographic Films in a curious fashion harkening to another time–past & future. Through the mid-1990’s he was Resident Artist at the Legendary Hollywood Afterhours Nightclub—Does Your Momma Know– where he provided the backdrop for the scene of global House-Music DJ’s. The Underground Club’s dark, womb-like environment served a perfect space to develop his imagery. At the same time, he started ARTCARE and grew a clientele of Art Collectors & Dealers offering Art related services including Installation & Sculpture Conservation.
David balances his time in San Antonio since 2016 between Art-Making and as a Realtor helping people sell, buy, and rent their homes.
About James Thegerstrom
Focused on process and function, James is interested in a union of science and mythology. Objects and depictions such as vessels, maps, navigation, and spatial orientation are personal explorations and musings on biology, chemistry, light, gravity, and time. Somewhere between monk and mad scientist, James aspires to be enough of a polymath and a reasonably humble subject to an idea of God to make work that helps him chart a personal quest for meaning. James is based in Los Angeles.
